Since so many are late…Pood’s that is….I thought I would put this one up 2 days early. This Poodcast is a discussion of strength standards and testing. Have been told that Paddy and I may have nerded out while try to keep it low key. See how you go.

So in Pood 6 we do a review of my testing results. We discuss what we are looking and what years of doing nothing do to the human body. We talk about setting a benchmark to measure my progress going forward. A have a general discussion around what we are individually doing with regards our own training.

I know this one is late…(insert excuse here) but I had a busy working week…on the plus side….I will post Pood 6 on Monday and get us back on schedule.
This Pood we talk about my training going forward. We discuss the state of modern coaching. We cover the realities of programming and the impact of genes, PED’s and coaching.

So…I hope you guys realise that you guys are getting an inside view here. We have a heap of Poodcasts in the bank and the challenge for us will be to ensure we can keep it up. Personally, I think we could do Poodcast every day as there is a lot to talk about in the health and fitness industry. I am going to get some help with the website…tomorrow I hope. I have organised myself and my material but I unfortunately suffer from interweb retardation so am unsure of how to organise it…hopefully tomorrow will be a step forward.
I have been training…I will update that as well…as I will keep my training log here…just a few click over.
If you have questions…or have ideas about things you would like us to cover…leave a comment or email me. Most of you know where to find me. I would be very interested to hear your thoughts?

You thought it would never happen but here it is…
In this episode we talk about all the things we hate…i.e ourselves and each other. We also go into the details around the IP (Informed Performance) template and the principles behind the programming.

This I think is the 2nd or 3rd attempt at our second poodcast.
This one covers the IP (Informed Performance) template. This template is the one that I have used from back in the 90’s.
It involves doing a warm up based around mobility and stability drills/exercises involving your entire body.
Then a combination of Conditioning Blocks (fitness), Repetition (body building) and Strength (power/strength) focused programs.
We discussed the background of the template and the methodology behind it.

We’ll find a proper home for this in the coming month or two.
Over the coming weeks we are going to cover the training system that was utilised at Informed Performance…the system I used coaching for the last 20 plus years. We will cover testing and assessment and why it is so important. We’ll look at mobility and stability work and why it makes all the difference to your health. Then we will look at an 8 week program and how and where you can put it into practice in your own life and environment. We have a tonne to talk about and we a going to cover it all in detail….and that is just the start.
